An Update from Emma at Bella Flame
Share
It’s been a little while since my last blog post back in 2021, when I shared how Bella Flame first began. Since then, a great deal has changed, both for me personally and for the business, so I thought it was the perfect time to write an update and share where things stand now.
In 2023, I began studying for a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and I’m now just about to start my third year. By next summer, I’ll be graduating and registering as a qualified dietitian, something I’m both nervous and very excited about. It’s been an intense journey, but one that has shown me the importance of evidence-based practice and how powerful food, lifestyle, and wellbeing can be in shaping our health.
During this time, Bella Flame has been a little quieter. Life, study, and family have kept me busy, but thanks to my wonderful, loyal customers, the business has quietly kept going in the background, and I’m so grateful for that continued support.
Recently, I’ve felt inspired to bring the two worlds together: healthy living and wellbeing with home fragrance. I’ve always believed that fragrance has a powerful impact on mood, whether it’s energising you for a productive day, helping you feel calm after a long one, or creating a space that feels good to be in. Now, with what I’ve been learning during my degree, I want Bella Flame to evolve into something more holistic, combining fragrance with simple, evidence-based ways to support wellbeing in everyday life.
This is still very much a journey. I’m experimenting, trying things out, and thinking about how new products might fit into this vision. What I do know is that I want Bella Flame to be more than just beautiful scents; I want it to be something that truly makes a difference to how you feel, both in your home and in your life.
On a personal note, life is full of changes for our family. My husband has applied for a transfer to the Australian Defence Force, which means we may be moving to Australia in the near future. It’s a long process, and at the moment we’re in “limbo land,” not knowing where we’ll be this time next year. It’s a little scary, but also exciting. Whatever happens, whether our future is here in the UK or across the world, I know that both my career and Bella Flame will continue to grow. I want Bella Flame to continue here in the UK and have a few ideas to make this work.
The children are growing up quickly, life is moving fast, and there are lots of unknowns ahead. But what I do know is that this journey, in business, in study, and in life, is one I’m grateful for, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
And because life isn’t just about work and study, here’s a recent photo of me with my cousin and daughter at my mum’s 70th birthday. We had such a wonderful time celebrating together, and moments like these remind me why creating balance, joy, and wellbeing in everyday life matters so much.
Thank you, as always, for being here and supporting Bella Flame. It means the world.
